Play hard, Sleep hard!

Today was jam packed full of fun and friends. Madison had Toddlin Time this morning. She has gotten to be a very popular little girl there. I don't think she realizes she is only two. She has adopted Ms. Tricia's girls who are 10+ years old and keeps them hopping! She really loves them. She also plays with her little buddy Ella and Adrianna too. She spent time on the trampoline and the parachute. We went to price out things for her new room and she fell asleep as we entered the neighborhood on our way home. She finished her nap with Nina and then woke up to play with Adrianna and help mommy to brainstorm some more on what will be her "flower/garden" room. Enjoy her picks....

Oh yeah, She went into Nina's purse tonight and pulled out a tampon. Nina told her to stay out of her tampons and laughed.... Madison said "look mommy, I have Nina's teapot!"

The bedtime stall...

As I had been reading, eventually I knew Madison would start to try to stall bedtime. People told me she was well on her way to that age. Bedtime has never been a problem here as Madison has had a bedtime routine since she was a few weeks old. It has been a rare occasion when she has fight in her at bedtime. While it has been mild, I believe the time is upon us.

Madison now claims
"I'm hungy, I need to eat"... or " I need juice, I thirsy" occasionally she will say " i'm not sleepy, no night night yet k mommy?" She wants to walk up the steps, (she used to let me carry her), she will tell me "don't help me mommy, I do it myself" and she wants to "share" the glider with me instead of sitting on my lap. She will still let me read to her some, but mostly I hear "no mommy, i reading!" We still sing our songs and she folds her hands for prayers.

Right before bed she will say "I go potty" She marches right over to the bathroom, whips her pants down and waits for me to place her royal heiny on her throne. Once there she tries to spit between her legs (occasionally) and then says "all done mommy... I pee pee" When I tell her it was a good try but she didn't put pee pee in the potty she looks at me completely serious and says in her sweet little voice... "Mommy, I PRETEND!"

Go figure~ =o)

Check her out!

She's got the moves! I'm having trouble loading videos, so here is the link. http://s305.photobucket.com:80/albums/nn211/mkatesmamaw/?action=view¤t=MOV05886-1.flv

Oh no...

Try to picture the face of a two year old as she comes home to find her swing set is mangled and lying on the ground. One post remains and a tractor is ramming into it. Now try to imagine a sweet little voice saying over and over again... " oh no! My wing woken! This is terbahble!" (oh no, my swing is broken... this is terrible!)

Did you picture it anything like this? It really was pretty intense. Poor thing!

Darn smurfs!

She fought a smurf and the ... smurf won!

LOOK... My "Hadow"

True to her mommy, Madison is an outdoor bug! She could stay outside all day long. I have a feeling we are going to go through a lot of sunscreen this year! She found her shadow again today, or should I say "Hadow;" She was also sporting her shades this morning. She's got quite a knack for fashion =o)

Daddy time...

Loving Spring!

It is so nice to be able to get out of the house to enjoy some sun. In fact my nose is still recovering from last weekend! Madison is showing that she is going to be an absolute blast this summer. I can't wait to get her to KD and the pool. I would also like to take her to the beach for a little bit. She is doing remarkably well despite all the changes going on around her, but kids are pretty resilient. After Toddlin Time yesterday her buddy Adrianna came over for fun with bubbles and they even tried to pack up for a road trip... right in front of their mommies... (see pics) I guess they will get more discreet as they get older. The played out in a tent and finished the day off with ice cream! Madison was very quiet yesterday for a while and I snuck up on her only to find her brushing all over her babies hair saying pretty... but she was using her dust pan brush!! So sweet! We are off to enjoy the weather again today... See you soon!

Yard sale day 2!

It was a great day today for yard saling, even though the weather sent us running with tarps at times. Madison was a big helper and even provided some entertainment. SHE was really good about watching her toy leave too for the mostpart. I was really proud of her. Over all it was a BIG success.

Yard sale day 1 in a nutshell...

Today was nice. A little windy and cool for a while but then the sun warmed us all up. I look like a lobster! Madison sounds like a frog too... she has a cold and but is holding up well. She had a lot of time in the fresh air today. Thank goodness for grandpa, for helping to occupy Madison. We sold a lot of stuff, but there is tons left. LISA, send your mom this way! Please send anyone you know to help free s of some of this stuff! We were apparently drowning in baby clothes... Here are some pictures from today. We will repeat tomorrow, so wish us luck.
