All in a days work... or play

This week is flying by! It's hard to believe it is already Friday. I made the crazy decision to play in an indoor soccer tournament this upcoming Saturday. We practiced last night and I think I have lost my mind. I feel like I am eighty years old. It's frustrating when your brain remembers how to do something and you body won't cooperate!! We are in trouble... but it will be funny later I guess. So wish me luck!!

I took Madison to The Playroom Wednesday and she had blast. Enough bouncing and jumping to go around. Not to mention the vacuuming, and driving, and cashier time she put in in the Pretend Town. She made a ton of pretend money!!

Saturday Madison is going to the Children's Museum with Mamaw Linda, Papaw Ed and Daddy. She is very excited. I'll post once I hear how it goes and try to get some pics up if possible!

Naptime Talk

Ever notice how incredibly cute 2 year olds can be? Madison and I snuggled up for a nap today and she started to rub my face... then my hair, and ended up on my ears... "that one mommy? .... that one too?" She was playing with my earrings with a puzzled look on her face. "My ear rings? Are they mine? Where are my ear rings mommy?" I explained to her that she had beautiful earrings bought for her by her mamaw and papaw, but she had to be a little bigger to wear them. She looked at me stone serious and said, "Princesses have ear rings mommy." She then said, "Anana have my ear rings?" I explained that yes Adrianna had ear rings, but she had them as a baby. I told her we would get her ear rings soon enough. She was content with that. "Yes, I will have ear rings like a princess"

Lucky girl!

I guess any parent going through separation with a child worries how their child will be impacted. I have struggled with this on and off, only wanting the best for Madison. Tonight it hit me... This is the best thing for her. I was worried she would feel pulled between two homes as she got older, or might think she was at fault. The truth is, she has made our life worth it. She is the light in a dark spot. Her smile rights the world. She is in a unique situation. She has two loving homes to go to, two loving parents who would do anything for her, two sets of grandparents who would give her the world. What child wouldn't love 2 Christmas's, 2 bedrooms, etc? She told me tonight excitedly that she had gotten a new room at daddy's and a new bike! What a lucky little girl she is that she has so many people in her life that love her so much. I hope we can continue to give her the best of two worlds!

It's a Sunny Day!!

Every day since returning from Nag's Head Madison wakes up and asks me if we are going to the beach. She tells me she wants to go to a new beach... So, we took a mini trip to the beach. Virginia Beach that is. Madison was a champ. She travels so well. The 2 hour ride to Sean's house was nothing compared to the trip she made home from S.D. but it's still a hike. We stayed at Heather's brothers apt for free, so it made it nice. The apt was on the bay, and 15 min from the strip. We spent the afternoon at the bay by Sean's house and then went to the strip Thursday before coming home. I'm pretty sure Madison could live on the beach as long as she had a shovel and a bucket. She isn't fond of the waves at all. Baby Dolan had a makeshift sister for a few days. Madison liked having him around. Here are a few pics we wanted share...

I got a new computer, so check back for updates more frequently!!

hello there....

I haven't figured out why I have it stuck in my mind that I cannot blog b/c I cannot post pictures. Madison continues to brighten my days and crack me up on a regular basis. There is nothing cuter than you're little one telling you to "wake up mommy... it's a sunny day... my eyes are open.... open your eyes!" She talks like crazy and it is easy to forget she is only 2! Our days have been filled with tractor rides, bunny chasing, watching a birds nest go from full of eggs, to birdies and then empty as we watched them take flight. We swim, play with the hose, garden (Madison is pretty good at digging potatoes, and can scope out a ripe tomato from accross the yard), swinging and sliding, running, running and more running... And this is all just at Poppy's and MaMaw's house. She ias eating like a champ and sleeps hard at night. She went fishing for the first time and caught 3 fish last week in the backyard too! She even sits and eats crabs with us! As frustrating a 2 can be I love it too! She is a real person and very opinionated. Her grandam Linda and Grandpa Ed just returned from a long trip and I know she is glad to have them back. We are having pictures done on Friday so I will let you know how it goes and have mom load some pics. I have lots to share!!
