How fast they grow...

Some amazing things have happened over the last several months! I'm not sure I believe it yet, but it appears that my little girl is about to turn 4! As I was putting her to bed tonight and she was all curled up with her num-num put perfectly in its place underneath her chin, and the tag just right between her fingers I could have sworn I caught a glimpse of that little roll she used to have at her wrist. I had to look twice, but I am pretty sure it was there. I know it won't be for long. Madison Kate has grown in leaps and bounds this year. What a difference between 3 and 4. She is doing phenomonally well in preschool and looks forward to going all the time. She would be happy to go 5 days a week if it were available.

We have moved out of mom and dads and have our own little place. Although we loved being at Mamaw and Poppy's house we are thrilled to be here. She looks forward to her sleepovers every weekend with Mamaw and Poppy. I still haven't found a way to not have to work yet =oP

We are very excited that Uncle Jay and Nina are have a baby and expecting in August. Madison is convinced it is a girl. She says "My butt (gut) is telling me it is a GIRL!" She can't wait! She hasn't decided yet if she is going to share her Mamw and Poppy yet. I believe one conversation we had went a little like this:

Madison: That is my mamaw and my poppy.
Mamaw; Yes, we will always be your Mamaw and Poppy.
Madison: I don't want to share my Mamaw and Pppy. That baby is going to take everything i ever had!

She is just a little dramatic =o)

She starts gymnastics tomorrow. She is very excited. We went to open gym last week to give her a chance to get comfortable and she loved it!

Madison starts preschool!

Can we say slacker?? I am so far behind! Life has been crazy, but fun lately. Madison is growing up so fast. I look at her and can't believe she was ponce my little baby. Her imagination alone is wild and exhausting sometimes. She is a delight and a love. Madison started preschool last week. Most of you know that I used to doubt that I would ever send her to preschool. I even thought of homeschooling for a while, but came to my senses. I think HS is wonderful if it works for you, but some children are not right for it. Madison is one of those children. She thrives on interaction with other children, and even teachers. I was worried about her first day, but as we all stood in the hall waiting for the door to open you could just feel her excitement. I was worried she might be sad or scared when I left and was preparing myself to be a "strong mommy" when the time came to peel her off of me. However, as the door opened Madison wiggled away from me and was the first one to run into the classroom with a big smile on her face. It was almost as big as the smile she had when I picked her up. She told me she wanted to come back tomorrow! What a big girl.

Today she got to be the line leader and calender helper! She was so proud!!
