Madison is 3! I can't begin to tell you how fast the past 3 years has gone, or how much of an impact Madison has had on my life. I can't remember what life was without her, and am happy for that. I love being a mommy, her mommy. She teaches me new things every day, and constantly reminds me of the joys of motherhood. She is the light of my life, joy in my heart and priceless! She is a beautiful, smart, caring and strong headed little girl. She gives me a run for my money and keeps me on my toes. I still sneak into her room and watch her sleep sometimes. I have almost given up on trying to sneak her out of bed to rock her b/c I swear she is almost as tall as me! I remind myself of the book I Love You Forever by Robert Munch.

Madison had a pretty great 3rd birthday. As soon as she opened her eyes she said "Am I 3 now?!" If you ask her how old she is she will proudly display 3 fingers and a great big smile. I sang to her and we got ready for the day. We met Aaron at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and they surprised us with ice cream after breakfast and a song! She was thrilled. Then at the checkout the lady sang to her again, and boy could she belt it out. Madison had a huge smile on her face. It was her day after all!

We asked Madison what she wanted to do next and she told us very plainly that she wanted to go to Buzzy's. We thought we'd do one better and take her to the Richmond Children's Museum. We drove all the way there and let me just say we were less than thrilled. We stayed briefly and decided we should have listened to the birthday girl in the first place. We packed up and headed back to the 'burg to Buzzy's. Mads had a blast and played and then climbed on Aaron's lap and let us know she was ready to go home.

We had a small get together that evening and ice cream cake. She got to blow out the candles she had been practicing for for weeks with poppy... ( no joking). Then she got to get into some presents. She even got a real big girl bike. She was so excited! She slept like a baby that night!

Happy Birthday Madison~ Mommy can't believe you are 3. Thank you for all of you love, funny moments and even tantrums. Mommy loves every minute of it!
