That pumpkin has eyes!

Last night Aaron, Madison and I carved pumpkins, or should I say pumpkin. She painted two small pumpkins all by herslef and we carved the very first Brumbaugh Family Pumkin together. Last year we carved some, all fancy-like, but Madison was sleeping snuggly in her bed. We cut the top out and let her go for it. Pumpkins was everywhere. And she kept trying to eat it! Guess she'll like pumpkin pie this year at Thanksgiving. She would grab pumpkin guts and fling it onto the newspaper and then squish it in her toes. The best part was taking her outside to she her "jack" all lit up. SHw was very surprised that he now had eyes! All in all what a blast, and sooo worth the mess! Plus he was the best smelling pumpkin on the block... had a yankee candle burning in his gut!

All the pretty pumpkins!

And yes there were some nice ones, but we brought home th sweetest of the bunch,,, in pigtails! Today Aaron and I took Madison the Belvedere Plantation PumpkinPatch. It was so much fun. That place is like a toddler heaven... an playground that doesn't stop. She was having enough fun just playing with rocks on the way into the place. We stopped for a few photo ops, but little stinker wouldn't even look at the camera. We headed straight down the hill towards the "mini maze." Those crazy people... it's all a dead end, but Madison thought it was pretty cool. Then off to the John Deere Tractors. They had peddles and she was still al ittle too small, but Daddy helped. From there she spotted the "pebble Box" It was like a sand box, but pebbles. She loves rocks, so tis was right up her alley. Poppy had taught her to jump in mud puddles earlier today, so she found the biggest of the bunch and in she went! The animal were next. She saw a cow, goats, pigs, chickens and geese. Perhaps one of her favorite things was a zip cord swing. It was like a zip cord, bit for the little ones they had child swings on them and they were able to zip and bounce. The hay barn was hilarious. She couldn't quite walk in it. Everytime she tried she fell! She was determined though, and eventually made it through. We finished up pur trip with a hay ride and pumpkin picking in the field. What a BIG girl! She wanted to sit by herself on the hay ride. She then picked out her pumpkin... and brought it to us. She did a great job, but got caught up in those sneaky pumpkin vines a little bit. Stay tuned. We are gonna carve pumpkins tomorrow!

Big sister for a day

Today Madison was an honorary big sister. Alyx came to stay. She isn't quite 3 months old. I got a little taste of what it was like for my mom when my brother was born. Aparently I refused to drink out of anything but a bottle, and started to sleep in the crib again... i was 3! Madison wasn't quite that bad, but she did want to be in everything the baby was in. She kept trying to take her pacifier too, But I have to giver her credit. She did help me feed Alyx. She helped hold the bottle. And when Alyx cried she would talk to her and tell her to "shhh..." She kept sying "baby baby" She also tried to share her donut. She is trying to say many things. She calls kendall "Kinkal" I think it's sweet. Well, I'm about to get run down by a little girl on a dora fourwheeler, better run!

Friends

Shannon and Kendall stopped by the other day. Here are a few pics of the girls. Arne't they cute? It's hard to believe we used to hang out hen when we were that size!!

Cheese!

Can she get any cuter? Now when I get the camera out, or she gets it out for me, she smiles a big ole smile and says "CHEEEEESE" She does it at dinner time, in the morning, or any other time of the day. She is really excited for Halloween. Well, I am, but I'm sure she is too. I'm also excited to take her to the pumpkin patch. The big event is Saturday... even if I have to put plastic baggies on her feet! AARON IS THINKING ABOUT DOING THE "ALL YOU CAN CARRY" FOR 26.99. It should make for good pictures. I am off Saturday, so we will be able to go and spend some time there,

I have discovered it is dangerous to go out and leave Madison with my parents! We came home last night after being out for my birthday, and almost got run over. madison came crusing tothe door on her new Dora fourwheeler power wheel. Its really cute and made for 12-36 months. She loves it. I'm surprised she hasn't run the carpet bare yet. Now if only she could figue out how to steer. SHe rides as far as she can go and yells "I STUCK" She also asks "Are You Mommy?" when i leave a room.

Madison has gotten to be a little bit of a daddy's girl too. I know he is loving it.

Please continue your prayers for Grace Oughton and her family.

Until next time... Madison says "BUH-BYE"

Madison and "EEEN"

This week was busy busy. Madison and I helped some friends out by keeping their little munchkin Ian. Madison really like having him around. She even shared her mommy. Ian isn't so sure about Madison though. Evertime she got excited or squealed he would haul over to me and cry and hug onto me. At first this bothered Madison, and she would cry and get up oon my other leg. She even said no, mine mommy. After a while I guess she figured he must need me more... she let him borrow me. I got the pac n play out thinking Ian might nap, but I was wrong. He screamed, and Madison got in the thing and layed down and said night night and then played in it the next 30 minutes. Silly girl.

Madison has started to help me with laundry. she helps me put the wet clothes in the dryer and the dry clothes in the basket. Then she rides up the steps on the warm clothes! She was sporting one of Daddy's t-shirts the other day. I think I used to do this too. It was really cute.

We have also had 2 successfull pee-pee's in the potty. The first was last night. She took her diaper off, got a funny look on her face and peed a drop or two. I hurried up and got her to the potty and she peed a ton in the potty. She was so excited and even got the pee-pee dance out of mommy and daddy! Then tonight after we got home from getting daddy she tried to pull her pantas down and aaron instead helped her pull them back up. She then said no, pee-pee and pulled them down and then her diaper. She sat down all by herself and went pee! Yeah!! I was so excited I put her in Elmo panties. She was excited too, and 20 min later she peed on Elmo. Hey, what can I say, she's only 20 months!

Last but not least, Ma-Maw's newest masterpeice is complete. Check out my little clown!

Oh, I almost forgot... Madison now has a Mrs. Potato Head. What a classic. When she tired of making faces on the potato, she had some fun with Ma-Maw!! (almost lucked out on this one!)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Late entry, October 16. 2007:

So, I am behind again. Today is Aarons' birthday. I taught Madison to say Happy Birthday old man! It's adorable. It comes out more like "Happy Dirday Ole Mane!" We went to Outback for dinner with ma-maaw and pa-paw. Madison was a huge eater. She couldn't get enough! She had bread, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, grilled cheese and even a little steak! I am so happy to see her eating so well! Her Daddy is 29... almost 30. I gues next year he'll just be 29a. lol!

Afrter dinner we took Madison outside to feed the ducks and geese. SHe ran to them full force. SHe loves animals and always gets excited to see the ducks and geese. She even had them eating out of her hand! Take a look...

Shake your buns!

Madison is learning so fast! She is dong this new thing when you tell her "shake your buns" she squats down, puts her hands on her knees and twists her hips! It is adorable! She also learned where her eyebrows are and can say the word pretty gppd. She talks so much. You can have an ok "conversation" with her on the phone! My baby is growing up! I try to tell her to slow down, but she won't listen.

Her hair is really growing. She even has a new option for a hair-do. What do you think?
