Miss Madison knows how to party. I think she will be the opposite of me. i always tended to be in the background and shy, not her. We went to a friends baby shower on Saturday. It was already in progress when we got there, but Madison walked right on in. Sherry was opening her gifts, there were balloon all over the floor... Madison went right on in and had a blast with the balloons and when Sherry would open gifts Madison would say "Awwww..." She even tried to love on the snuggly bought for Baby Alyx Nicole. It was pretty cute. There was alos an Elmo waiting there for her (THank you Tina!! She loves him.) He is life sized for Madison. She took hold of him quick too. Courtney was there too. Madison loves her too. I put their pics on the last post! Just about another week and Sesame Place here we come!!

Little Fishy
Today was a lot of fun. We gave up our morning nap for a trip to the Waterpark at the YMCA. It was a blast. We went with our buddies Auntie Wendy and her son Steven and her granddaughters Courtney and Kenzie. We stayed for about 3 hours... until a little girl threw up in the pool. At that point we called it quits and I headed to McDonald's with Madison. She had a blast with the girls, and as always loved Steven. She even went into the deep water with him. She was a busy girl. All over the place. When I got her out of the car from the park she laid her head down on my shoulder and was out. She even dropped the french fry that was in her hand. After checking to make sure there wasn't any in her mouth I put her to bed. She peeked long enough to find elmo, gave him a hug and didn't move again until an hour and 15 min later when I tried to lay down... That's what I get =oP Should be an interesting night. The TV isn't working and I'm on call from 11p-7a. What's a girl to do?? the bad part... They already mistakenly called me in at 7, until I pointed out I wasn't on until 11p. Maybe it'll be better by then. Either way, I think I better go to bed early. Here are some pictures from today and yesterday. Oh yeah~ Madison's hair is just about long enough for real pigtails. it goes up, but not for long.

Yes, I know...
Many of you have let me know that I am falling behind on my blogging. I am working on this I promise. Work has been very busy as has the rest of my life. I have tried to keep up, but I must admit, playtime with Madison or napping when she does has been precident lately. i am still struggling to sleep at night, and have a MRI scheduled for my back Thursday... wish me luck. Madison had pictures taken on Saturday morning. It was interesting to say the least. We went with Shannon (my best friend) and her little one Kendall who is 5 months old... Wow how time flies. We got some awesome pictures, but it was a lot of work. Couldn't have done it without you mom. =o) It's hard to believe some parents have children those ages!! Can't wait to load up some of the pictures.
Grandpa made it safely back from Hawaii. I was sleeping, but I am sure Madison was more than glad to see him. He came with goodies in tow. I'm sure to gain wait if I eat all those caramacs, right? Aaron dressed Madison in one of her little Hawaii outfits... what a doll. I will upload pictures soon. Vacation is almost here!!!

Crazy Days
Work really seems to be taking its toll on me. Nght shift is great when I am there, but it is awful on the body. I don't seem to know whether I am coming or going. I can't sleep at night anymore either it seems. I wake up between 2-4 am all the time again. It is pretty miserable. I'm not quite sure what I am gonna do about it yet...
Life with Madison is wonderful. Aaron and I can't get enough of her. She is really talking a lot now and trying to mimic just about everything we say or do. Aaron calls most of her talk "scuba speak" because it sounds like she is underwater. I remember being afraid that I would love the newborn stage best when she was born and that I would miss it as she grew older. I find that I do miss it, but I miss every stage... However, I love each new stage we hit that much more. Speaking of which... We managed not to ever let her fall off of the bed or couch at all. Well, until today, although I'm not sure it counts. Madison took off running across the couch and all of a sudden it was like spmething out of the matrix... She was in the air, and then did a sideways roll and face planted right on the carpet. I think it scared her more than it hurt her, but it sucked for me... Mommies are always scarred longer than their babies. But she hasn't stood back up on the couch again yet.
Madison got some cool new clothes from grandma and grandpa when they went to Vegas. They even found her a Bert. Madison thought he was great!! I will include some pictures of one outfit. Another one will be featured in her pictures that are scheduled for Saturday morning. We will be taking pictures with my best friend and her little girl Kendall. I'm sure most of you know the history there... No that I am thinking about it, She was the first person besides Aaron and the nurses to hold Madison in the recovery room, and I actually got to help with Kendall and Shannon in the delivery and at the warmer for footprints and all. Shannon, I will get you the video soon =o)
Aaron and I went out on a bonified date last night. It's only the third time we have been out since Madison was born. The first time it was to dinner, the second to a movie. THis time we actually had dinner and a movie. It was really nice. We reconnected a little. We have vowed to do more as a family with other families and with eachother. Thank you Jay and Kristina. It was really nice to be able to go out and not worry about the care Madison was recieving. You know how I am about leaving her!
Madison found her shadow today . It was really cute. She stopped in her tracks and then started to wave at herself. Se then ran and stomped and then told it bye-bye. Oh to see the world through the eyes of a child. It really is wonderful. If all goes well we are planning to leave for Sesame Place on Tuesday 8/7 and return on the 10th, just in time for the Sullivan Family cookout. I am actually off, and very excited. They only thing that would be better would be to see both sets of grandparents there and ofcourse my hubby. Fingers crossed on that one.
Well, I'm off to get Madison out of the bottom drawer again... Picture will explain. he-he
